HARTBEAT, Kevin Hart’s official media brand, is finally launching in Web3 with a Roku special, a curated crypto wallet, and an NFT collection.

Everyone didn’t expect he would announce his push into the metaverse when the comedian and actor tweeted over the weekend that he is going down the Web3 rabbit hole. But he did. This is the first of a series of Web3 experiences coming from a global entertainment media company.

The media company’s expansion into the metaverse comes after HARTBEAT landed a $100 million investment from Abry Partners to expand its team, make new IP, and increase growth.

HARTBEAT in the Metaverse

The TV special will premiere as a Roku Original on July 6th, Hart’s birthday, along with bonus metaverse-centered content to come. The show is titled Confessions from the Hart, which will be a thirty-minute animated anthology based on the popular IG TV series of Hart of the same name. Supporters can expect an insider take on the actor’s virtual universe and stories about his career and life.

Further, Roku is celebrating the actor’s new special by curating a hub featuring all of the comedian’s free content on the platform, including Cold as Balls, Die Hart, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. HARTBEAT will also partner with Web3 platform Moonwalk to create the Kevin Hart Nation Metaverse Screening Room to offer fans bonus content.

According to the VP and head of Roku Originals, David Eilenberg, Confessions from the Hart is an ideal example of the hilarious, inventive, and thoughtful fare Kevin and his team have become sought for globally, and they are thrilled to bring it to millions of streams through The Roku Channel.

The first NFT collection of Hart will feature designs of himself as well as characters in his animated special. The collection will be composed of 10,000 NFTs purchasable by Ethereum or credit card. The show will also grant holders special membership perks for Kevin Hart’s metaverse and IRL experiences, including tickets to his approaching comedy tour. The NFT collection will be available on July 7th.

Confessions from the Hart is the first in the series of Metaverse activations as HARTBEAT Media expands IP across advanced distribution touchpoints. The company also looks forward to making more experiences that accompany traditional linear platforms and physical event experiences that mainstream audiences and Web3 natives can enjoy.

Fans and supporters who wish to get into the Web3 experiences of Kevin Hart will require a Kevin Hart Nation Wallet. In addition, the curated crypto wallet will enable consumers to get social tokens called HARTs to purchase limited-edition collectibles and engage with social content.

The HARTBEAT Trademark

The Web3 announcement of the actor came on the same day his group filed a trademark along with the US Patent and Trademark Office for HARTBEAT. Below are some of the important details on what the new trademark will involve.

The mark is composed of a design element of an abstract six-sided polygon that looks warily like a heart.

The mark is for entertainment services, such as documentaries, films, audiovisual series, podcasts, webcasts, webisodes, radio programs, and TV shows.

It also signifies entertainment and education services, such as mentorship, training, thought leadership such as sharing and offering information to artists, musicians, composers, performing artists, producers, directors, writers, comedians, actors, and entertainers, as well as content owners related to generational transfer, improving diversity, equity, and inclusion and changing cultural and social concerns within the entertainment sector.

HARTBEAT is also a mark for entertainment services such as live comedy festivals that features theatrical and artistic performers. It is also intended for the organization of entertainment events, educational events, festivals, concerts, cultural events, sporting events, performances, competitions, and comedy shows.

Every NFT will be $65 each, which is equivalent to at least half of a gas tank today. NFT buyers will also receive access to other things, such as tickets to his upcoming shows and metaverse experiences. Hart said that he is extremely thrilled about bringing his brand of comedy to the entire metaverse.

The show will be digitally animated and paradoxically looks like something from the web’s early days. But probably the vibe he was aiming for. Check out the trail for Confessions from the Hart here.
